Hello again, I thought since I was starting this out I may as well fill the blog up for any one following, Wouldn't want you all to get bored! Today, I'd like to show a picture I have been working on, on and off, over the summer so far. Its of one of my dogs, named George (or possibly Fred) out enjoying the good weather. 

I stuck as close as possible to the reference as I could, trying to get the direction of all the hair took a large amount of time, as did getting different coloured areas of it to merge naturally. If I was to spend more time on it, I would have went in more detail in regards to his hair. particularly around his hind legs. 

I tried multiple times making a background similar to in the photo, but every time I tried, it never seemed to work, eventually I decided life was too short and just added the grey brush strokes to break up the white background. Maybe I'll go back and  and do it again, when i feel the urge to paint a few thousand stones and weeds.
